Siege Monster. The Ancient Forest Warden deals double damage to objects and structures.
Root Network. While a friendly Bone Sage is within 120 feet of the Ancient Forest Warden, it regains 30 hit points at the start of each of its turns.
Immutable Form. The Ancient Forest Warden is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the Ancient Forest Warden fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Multiattack. The Ancient Forest Warden makes three attacks: two Slam attacks and one Root Lash attack.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 27 (3d10 + 11) bludgeoning damage plus 10 (3d6) piercing damage. If the target is Large or smaller, it must succeed on a DC 23 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Root Lash. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 30 ft., one target. Hit: 24 (3d8 + 11) bludgeoning damage. The target must succeed on a DC 23 Strength saving throw or become restrained by grasping roots (escape DC 23). A restrained creature can use its action to make a DC 23 Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check, freeing itself on a success.
Hurl Tree (Recharge 5–6). The Ancient Forest Warden tears a massive tree from the earth and hurls it at a point it can see within 120 feet. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw, taking 45 (10d8) bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The affected area becomes difficult terrain until cleared.
Wrath of the Green Age (Recharge 6). Violent roots erupt from the ground in a 60-foot-radius centered on the Ancient Forest Warden. Each hostile creature in the area must make a DC 23 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 36 (8d8) piercing damage, is restrained by the roots, and is pulled up to 20 feet toward the Ancient Forest Warden. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't restrained. A restrained creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
Regrowth. If the Ancient Forest Warden is standing on natural ground, it regains 25 hit points.
Root Shield. When the Ancient Forest Warden is hit by a ranged attack, it causes thick roots and branches to rise in its defense, gaining a +5 bonus to AC against the triggering attack, potentially causing it to miss.
The Ancient Forest Warden can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Ancient Forest Warden regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Root Lash. The Ancient Forest Warden makes one Root Lash attack.
Grasping Earth (Costs 2 Actions). One creature the Ancient Forest Warden can see within 60 feet must succeed on a DC 23 Strength saving throw or become restrained by grasping roots. A restrained creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
Canopy Collapse (Costs 3 Actions). The Ancient Forest Warden tears down a section of the surrounding canopy. Each creature of the Warden's choice within 30 feet must make a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw, taking 31 (7d8) bludgeoning damage and falling prone on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The affected area becomes heavily obscured until initiative count 20 of the next round.
