Legendary Resistance (1/Day). If the Apostle fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Magic Resistance. The Apostle has Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Divine Form. All of the Apostle's Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage is magical. In addition, the Apostle is immune to all form-altering effects and has +5 on all saving throws against being Banished.
Multiattack. The Apostle makes three Rend attacks. It can replace one of these attacks with Piercing Growl if available.
Rend. Melee Attack Roll: +11, reach 10 ft. Hit: 12 (2d4 + 7) Slashing damage.
Piercing Growl (Recharge 5–6). Constitution Saving Throw: DC 16, 30-foot Emanation from the Apostle. Failure: 25 (4d8 + 7) Piercing damage and the target begins Bleeding and they are Frightened. While Bleeding, the target takes 2 (1d4) Slashing damage at the start of each of their turns and they have Disadvantage on all Constitution saving throws. Being healed ends this condition on the creature. The target may repeat the saving throw at the start of each of their turns, ending Bleeding and the Frightened condition on themself on a success. Success: Half damage only.
Slay. Melee Attack Roll: +11, reach 10 ft. 29 (6d6 + 7) Slashing damage. Additionally, if the target it Bleeding, they are also Poisoned for 1 minute. If the target was Prone, the attack Critically Hits. If the target is Bleeding and Prone, the target has Vulnerability to all damage and they has the Poisoned condition until the start of the Apostle's next turn or until they are no longer Poisoned.
Sumptuous Blood Bath. Constitution Saving Throw: DC 16, reach 10 ft. Failure: 29 (4d10 + 7) Slashing damage and the Apostle heals half the amount of damage taken. In addition, the target starts Bleeding. Success: Half damage.
Relentless Lunge. Strength Saving Throw: DC 19, range 20 ft., 10 ft. Emanation from the Apostle. Failure: 14 (2d6 + 7) Bludgeoning damage and the target falls Prone. Success: Half damage only. Failure or Success: The Apostle jumps to where it targets.
Let The Slaughter Begin. Trigger: The Apostle kills a creature. Response: The Apostle gains 30 Temporary Hit Points and increases its AC by 1 to a maximum of 22. In addition, as long as it has these Temporary Hit Points, it can make an extra two Rend attacks per turn as part of its Multiattack. At the dawn of the next day, all of these benefits end.
Legendary Action Uses: 1. Immediately after another creature's turn, the Apostle can expend a use of its Legendary Actions to cause one of the following effects. The Apostle can use only one effect at the end of each creature's turns and it regains all expended Legendary Action uses at the start of each of its turns.
Unstoppable. The Apostle gains 3 (1d4 + 1) Unstoppable charges. When the Apostle gets hit with an attack and takes damage, the Apostle expends one of these charges to reduce the incoming damage to 1, no matter how much the damage was before unless it was less than 1. In addition, while the Apostle has Unstoppable charges, it is immune to the Exhaustion, Frightened, Incapacitated, Paralyzed, Stunned, and Unconscious conditions. If it already had these conditions before it gained the charges, they are suppressed while it has them. The Apostle can have a maximum of 8 charges at a time and loses all stored charges at the start of each day at dawn.
