Four-Headed. There are four heads and assorted limbs of this monstrosity; those of a lion, an eagle, a goat and a snake. Each one has its own health, resistances, and Legendary Action.

  • Lion Head (60HP). Resistant to piercing damage.
  • Goat Head (30HP). Resistant to bludgeoning and fire damage.
  • Eagle Head (40HP). Resistant to slashing and ice damage.
  • Snake Head (40HP). Resistant to acid and poison damage.
Actions

Multiattack. The Chimera can make three melee attacks per round; one with its bite (lion or snake), one with its horns (goat) and one with its claws (lion or eagle). If the lion chooses to bite, it cannot use its claws in the same turn. Alternatively, the Chimera can replace its bite and horns attacks to use one of its legendary actions.

Lion Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: (2d6 + 4) piercing damage.

Snake Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: (2d6 + 4) piercing damage + (1d4+3) acid damage.

Goat Horns. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: (1d10 + 4) bludgeoning damage. DC 8 CON saving throw or be stunned until the end of your next turn.

Lion Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: (2d6 + 4) piercing damage.

Eagle Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: (2d6 + 4) piercing damage.

Reactions

Opportunity Attack. The Chimera lashes out with one claw or bite attack.

 

Legendary Actions

Each head of the Chimera has its own Legendary Action.

Lion's Roar (Recharge 5). The Lion lets out an almighty roar. All enemies within 15ft of it must make a DC 13 WIS saving throw. On a successful save, they take 2d4 psychic damage and the effect ends. On a failed save, they take 2d4 psychic damage and are frightened. They can re-roll at the end of each turn until they succeed. 

Panicked Bleat (Recharge 5). The Goat panicks and yells, spitting volatile flame in a 15ft cone as it does so. This seems to further panic it. All creatures within the cone must make a DC 13 DEX saving throw, taking 6d4 fire damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one.

Eagle's Protection (Recharge 5). The Eagle's wisdom serves to buff the Chimera. The Eagle heals the Head with the lowest health for 20HP and it rolls an additional d4 on its next attack roll.

Venom Spit (Recharge 5). The Snake spits a 30ft line of venom. All creatures within the sphere must make a DC 13 DEX saving throw, taking 3d6 acid damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one.
