Perfect sight. The observer automatically succeeds on any check used to find a creature, so long as they're not behind full-cover.
Multiattack. The observer uses Eye Bite three times.
Eye Bite. The observer randomly shoots one of the following magical rays at a target it can see within 120 feet of itself (roll 1d6; reroll if the observer has already used that ray during this turn): The Save type and DC is listed in the effect description.
1: Asleep. (CON 15) The target falls unconscious It wakes up if it takes any damage or if another creature uses its action to shake the sleeper awake.
2: Panicked. (WIS 15) The target is frightened of the observer. On each of its turns, the frightenedcreature must take the Dash action and move away from the observer by the safest and shortest available route, unless there is nowhere to move. If the target moves to a place at least 60 feet away from the observer where it can no longer see it, this effect ends.
3: Sickened. (CON 20) The target has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks. At the end of each of its turns, it can make another saving throw. If it succeeds, the effect ends and the target becomes immune to this ray for one hour.
4: Enfeeblement. (INT 15) The target's movement speed is halved and they cannot take reactions. At the end of each of its turns, it can make another saving throw. If it succeeds, the effect ends.
5: Paralysis. (CON 18) The target is paralyzed untill the end of their next turn.
6: Overload. (INT 15) The target takes 4d10 psychic damage and drops whatever they're holding on the ground.
Antimagic Wave. The observer emits an antimagic wave in a 30-foot radius. Until the start of the observer’s next turn, that area acts as an Antimagic Field spell, and that area works against the observer’s own Eye Bites. This bonus action can be used under any condition whilst the observer is conscious.
Description
The Ancient Observer is a rare and curious creature. Believed to be an ancestor of beholders, they do nothing more than observe any and all creatures they come near. They cannot hear and are believed to be remnants of some kind of information-gathering system. The observer cannot hear, but has learnt perfectly to interpret lip and hand movements.
