Allies instead may choose to be moved up to 15 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.

Bonus Actions

Soothing Command. The dragon targets one creature it can see within 60 feet. The target gains 10 temporary hit points and can immediately end one effect causing it to be charmed or frightened.

Description

A master of tranquil power, the Adult Pearl Dragon embodies balance between mercy and overwhelming force. It dominates the battlefield through radiant tides, protective auras, and precise legendary actions, sustaining allies while dismantling threats.

An Adult Pearl Dragon is wise, composed, and deliberate. It prefers diplomacy and guidance but becomes an unstoppable force when defending what it protects. Its presence alone can calm conflictor foreshadow overwhelming resistance.

Lair and Lair Actions

A serene coastal grotto or submerged ruin infused with soft, pearlescent light, the Adult Pearl Dragons lair is a place of quiet protection. Pools of clear water reflect shifting colors, and smooth stone surfaces are inlaid with natural nacre. Gentle currents flow even in still air, and echoes of emotion linger faintly in the environment.

Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the Adult Pearl Dragon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the Adult Pearl Dragon cant use the same effect two rounds in a row:

  • Soothing Tide. Calming currents wash through the lair. Creatures of the dragons choice regain 14 (4d6) hit points.
  • Dazzling Reflection. Light refracts sharply across the lair. Creatures of the dragons choice within 60 feet must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of their next turn.
  • Shifting Current. Water or spectral currents surge in a 15-foot-radius area the dragon can see within 120 feet. Each enemy in the area must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone and pushed up to 15 feet.
  • Veil of Serenity. Illusory light distorts the dragons form. Until initiative count 20 on the next round, attack rolls against the dragon have disadvantage.

Regional Effects
The region containing a legendary Adult Pearl Dragons lair is suffused with calming, radiant energy, which creates one or more of the following effects:

  • Calm Waters. Within 3 miles of the lair, bodies of water are unusually still, and rough weather is slightly diminished.
  • Soft Radiance. Reflective surfaces shimmer faintly within 3 miles, providing dim light in darkness.
  • Lingering Peace. Creatures within 3 miles have advantage on saving throws against being frightened while within natural bodies of water.

If the Adult Pearl Dragon dies, these effects fade over the course of 1d6 days.
