Spellcasting. The Arcane Inquisitor is an 8th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks). It regains its expended spell slots when it finishes a short or long rest. It knows the following warlock spells:
Cantrips (at will): eldritch blast, mage hand, minor illusion
1st-4th level (2 4th-level slots): dimension door, hold person, locate creature, misty step, spider climb
"Stop Resisting, I Have a Permit for this Smite!" Once per turn, when the inquisitor hits a creature with a melee weapon attack, it deals an extra 9 (2d8) force damage and forces the target to make a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Multiattack. The Arcane Inquisitor makes two attacks with its rapier.
Rapier. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage.
Eldritch Blast (Cantrip). Ranged Spell Attack: +7 to hit, range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) force damage. The inquisitor can fire two beams when casting this spell, resolving each attack separately against the same or different targets.
Cunning Pursuit. The inquisitor takes the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.
Arcane Parry. The inquisitor adds 3 to its AC against one attack that would hit it. To do so, the inquisitor must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

The Arcane Inquisitor serves as the elite magical police force of the magocracy. Tasked with hunting rogue mages and maintaining arcane law, they combine martial prowess, rogue-like mobility, and potent warlock pact magic to swiftly investigate and detain suspects.
