Multiple Trunks. The banyan occupies a number of 15-ft cubes equal to the number of trunks it possesses at any given time. When first encountered, the banyan has 3d6 trunks. The banyan can attack a creature from any of these spaces, but only one of the spaces (selected at the start of combat) contains the banyan's main trunk. The banyan's secondary trunks can be attacked and damaged (AC 13, HP 50, Resistance to Bludgeoning and Piercing damage and Vulnerability to Fire damage). Dealing damage to one of the banyan's secondary trunks deals no damage to the banyan. The banyan can be damaged only by damaging its main trunk. Once a secondary trunk has been destroyed, the banyan no longer occupies the 15-ft cube associated with the given trunk.
Multiattack. The banyan makes two Slam attacks and uses Constricting Roots.
Slam. Melee attack roll + 10, reach 15 ft. Hit: 17 (3d6 + 7) Bludgeoning damage.
Constricting Roots. Strength saving throw DC 18, one creature within 10 ft of one of the banyan's trunks. Faliure. 14 (2d6 + 7) Bludgeoning damage, and the target has the Grappled condition (escape save DC 18). While Grappled in this way, the target has the Restrained condition and takes 14 (2d6 + 7) Bludgeoning damage at the start of each of its turns.
