Description
The Black Army, were once the rise of a great following of undead subjects who followed their overlord The Dread King into the afterlife. They believed that by existing in the realm of undeath, they would be granted immortality and avoid judgement of the gods. They are notable different than normal undead because they are sentient and many consider them to be awaked and intelligent. The higher elements of the Dread King's necrotic magic allowed them to move as if they had moved in life, and live as if they had lived in life, and soon the swarms of the black army hoard conquered the world.
Those whom were brought into the army were subjected to terrible war trials, where they immediately were placed into a pit against another awakened form and fight to the demise of the other. A weapon would be formed with the bones of their defeated trial mate and the two would serve as one. One soldier, one blade.
