Traits

Blistering Heat. At the start of each of its turns, the Abyssal Care Bear deals 5 (1d10) fire damage to any creature grappling it.

Ambusher. During the first round of combat, Abyssal Care Bear has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't had a turn yet.

Magic Resistance. The Abyssal Care Bear has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. Abyssal Care Bear makes two melee attacks with its claws. Alternatively, it can use Burning Toy twice.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 4) piercing damage.

Burning Toy. Ranged Spell Attack: +7 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (3d6) fire damage. If the target is a flammable object that isn't being worn or carried, it also catches fire.

Control Puppet. One humanoid the Abyssal Care Bear can see within 30 feet of it must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or become charmed. A creature automatically succeeds if it is immune to being charmed. The Abyssal Care Bear can only control one creature at a time. The controlled target obeys it's verbal or telepathic commands. If the target suffers any harm or receives a suicidal command, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success. If the target successfully saves against the effect, or if the effect on it ends, the target is immune to Abyssal Care Bear's Control Puppet for the next 24 hours.

Description

This child's toy may look cute and cuddly at an initial glance but don't be fooled, if you are close enough to see the evil in its cold dead eyes then it's already too late.

The Abyssal Care Bear are spawned in the depths of the abyss born out of the twisted minds and desires of engineers and creators to inflict suffering onto others they deem lesser. The appearance of them does vary between creator, but they're always souls of the damned twisted into the forms of small dolls. A sure enough way to tell apart an Abyssal Care Bear from a standard child's doll, without getting close enough to be burned, is the razor sharp claws it tries to hide behind its back or the row of dagger-like teeth it hides behind a deceitful smile.
