Dense vegetation: Areas of heavy undergrowth are difficult terrain and provide half cover.
Mud and roots: A creature that moves more than half its speed through the basin must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone.
Predator’s trails: The dinosaur can move through the undergrowth without penalty, allowing it to circle the party and attack from concealment.
Warning calls: Birds and smaller dinosaurs abruptly flee whenever the creature moves nearby, giving alert characters a chance to notice its approach with a DC 14 Perception check.
