Void Backlash (Thorns Aura). Apollyon's form is highly volatile. Every time a creature hits Apollyon with an attack, spell, or ability, a ripple of localized gravity snaps across the arena. Every party member instantly takes 2d4 Void Damage.
Void Reaper. As a bonus action Apollyon can gouge into a target with 0 temporary hit points with hateful aggression. If Void Reaper reduces a targets hit points to 0 they die instantly.
Void Blast Targeting Logic. When using Void Blast, Apollyon cannot target the player currently closest to him (blind spot) or furthest from him. He always prioritizes the closest available valid mid-range targets. His melee attacks can target anyone within reach upon landing.
Multiattack. Apollyon executes his choice of one of his established combat routines:
- Combo 1 (The Skirmish): 1x Greatsword/Wing Slash, flies up to 60 ft. away (without provoking opportunity attacks via Flyby), and fires 2x Void Blasts.
- Combo 2 (The Dive-In): Fires 1x Void Blast, flies up to 60 ft. into the party, and lands 2x Greatsword/Wing Slashes.
- Combo 3 (Ranged Barrage)(Only when no players are withing melee): Fires 4x Void Blasts.
- Combo 4 (Melee Focus): Delivers 4x Greatsword/Wing Slashes.
Void-Infused Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d4+4) slashing damage.
Wing Slash. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
Void Blast. Ranged Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) Void damage. The target is knocked back 10 feet away from Apollyon. Additionally, energy automatically arcs to an adjacent player within 5 feet, dealing 1d4 Void damage
Bonus Action: Void Reaper. Apollyon targets one creature within 60 feet that has 0 Temporary HP, then charges towards with ruthless precision. The target must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw. On a Failure: The target takes 48 (6d10 + 15) Void damage, and half as much on a Success.
Event Horizon (Triggered at 80%, 35%, and 0% HP). The moment Apollyon hits these specific health milestones, he immediately interrupts the current turn to channel an apocalyptic blast. Every player must instantly use their movement to position themselves completely behind one of the stone obelisks on the grid layout.
- The Penalty: Anyone caught out in the open when the blast detonates takes 200 Void damage (24d12 + 50) and is knocked Prone.
- The Catch: The obelisk used to block the blast absorbs the damage, undergoes structural failure, and is wiped off the map.
Spawn Homing Orb (Triggered at 80% and 35%
Spawn Homing Orb (Triggered at 80% and 35% HP). Immediately after the Void Explosion concludes, a volatile sphere of dark gravity manifests 10 feet from Apollyon. Roll a 1d3 (excluding the Tank) to randomly target a player. When it detonates all players take 2d4 Void damage.
- The Movement: At the start of the next round (Initiative 20), the Orb surges 40 feet toward its target. It repeats this movement on the following round.
- The Collision: The targeted player must line themselves up behind an obelisk. If the orb hits a stone obelisk, it detonates safely and destroys itself. If the orb touches a player, it detonates instantly, dealing 91 Void damage (12d10 + 25) and violently pulling all other players 30 feet toward the point of impact.
