Description
CR 5 : DCR 4 - OCR 6
Bisharps are the adult forms of a species of bipedal, vaguely beetle-like humanoid monstrosities, with partial metallic outer shells. A Bisharp has a round, red and black head plated in steel akin to a helmet, which is topped with a golden, double-headed axe blade with white edges. The "helmet" shrouds most of its yellow-and-black face, although its triangular eyes are visible, and metallic growth on its shoulders shields its sides and gives the impression it wears shoulder pads.
A Bisharp typically rules over a pack of Pawniards, the younger and weaker members of the species. Notably pitiless, it finishes off foes without hesitation, and it keeps a close eye on members of its pack to ensure none of them think of betraying it, punishing challengers harshly. A pack claims large territories around rivers and other streams, as they use the river stones to keep their natural bladed weapons sharp and deadly, causing conflicts with any and all creatures living nearby.
When two pack meet, the leaders fight in a duel, and the members of the losing pack are absorbed into the winning side while the loser is banished or killed. These can cascade and grow in size, eventually causing a metamorphosis in the leading Bisharp after it accumulates many victories, becoming a Kingambit, an even mightier form able to bend multiple groups to its will with sheer strength.
