Heated Ground

The ground within 10 feet of the dragon becomes superheated. The area is difficult terrain for creatures other than the dragon.

A creature that enters the area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there takes 5 (1d10) fire damage.

Magma Burrow

The dragon can burrow through nonmagical earth and stone, leaving behind a tunnel that remains molten for 1 minute. A creature entering the tunnel for the first time on a turn takes 10 (3d6) fire damage.

Actions

Multiattack

The Magma Dragon makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite

Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 17 (3d10 + 6) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) fire damage.

Tail

Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target.
Hit: 15 (3d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage. The target must succeed on a DC 19 Strength saving throw or be pushed 15 feet away and knocked prone.

Magma Breath (Recharge 5–6)

The dragon exhales a torrent of molten rock in a 60-foot cone.

Each creature in the area must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 63 (14d8) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.

The area covered by the breath becomes molten ground until the end of the dragon’s next turn. A creature that enters the area or starts its turn there takes 10 (3d6) fire damage.

Magma Burst (Recharge 4–6)

The dragon launches a chunk of molten rock at a point it can see within 90 feet. The magma explodes in a 15-foot-radius sphere.

Creatures in the area must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) fire damage plus 14 (4d6) bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.

The affected area becomes difficult terrain until the end of the dragon’s next turn.
