Stench of Famine. The stench of rotting flesh is strong around a wendigo. Any creature that starts its turn within 40 ft. of the wendigo rolls a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature's movement speed is halved and has disadvantage on attack rolls until its next turn.
Any creature maintaining concentration on a spell that fails this check will immediately stop concentrating on that spell.
Insatiable Hunger. If a creature the wendigo can see regains hit points, until the end of its next turn, the wendigo has advantage on attack rolls, and its attack deal an additional 4d10 necrotic damage on a hit.
Multiattack. The wendigo makes two attacks; one with its bite and one with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 9 1(d8+5) piercing damage plus 22 (4d10) necrotic damage.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10ft., one target. Hit: (5d6+5) slashing damage. If the target is Medium or smaller, the wendigo can grapple it (escape DC 16), and the creature is restrained until the grapple ends. The wendigo can only grapple two creatures like this and cannot attack with its claws if grappling two creatures.
Hunger’s Avarice (1/day). The wendigo peers into the depths of a creature’s soul up to 60 ft. from it. The creature must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or use its action to attack the nearest ally on its next turn. If a creature saves against this ability, it cannot be affected by Hunger’s Avarice for the rest of the day.
Description
Many druids are known for their ability to take the form of various beasts, but their conclaves and circles have tales that warn of the druid who enjoys committing violence while in the shape of a beast. These depraved druids may also commit the terrible sin of consuming the flesh of a sentient being; cannibalism.
If a druid does this while in the shape of a beast, they become cursed as a Wendigo; a creature that is the terrible amalgamation of various beasts with an insatiable appetite. It has a head with an exposed deer skull and the body of a mangey beast. It has long claws for ripping prey apart, and it is said the dead giveaway a wendigo is stalking someone is the stench of rotted flesh that they carry with them.
