Description

massive bird-like creatures with four hardened legs and colourful, blood red feathers. They wander the chaotic evil and neutral evil planes in small groups of 2-5, chattering to each other. They have no real bonds or leader, and will gladly cannibalize any flock member if they are slowing the group down.
They act similarly when conversing with almost any other creature, aside from rust dragons. They appear to have some deep, ancient connection with rust dragons, rarely using them as mounts.

In the rare case that they stop they will often come to rest in the shelter of ashen caverns, finding comfort in the darkness.
