Traits

Divine Nature. Aurelia doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe. She is immune to any effect that would alter her form against her will.

Divine Restoration. If the avatar is reduced to 0 hit points, its physical form dissolves into brilliant golden light and Aurelia's divine presence returns to Elysium. The avatar cannot be restored by raise dead, resurrection, or similar magic.

Divine Presence. This is an avatar, not the goddess herself.

Aura of Hope. Aurelia radiates an aura of hope in a 30-foot radius. A friendly creature that starts its turn in the aura:

  • gains 10 temporary hit points
  • has advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.
  • instead of rolling a Death Saving Throw, immediately regains 20 Hit Points. Once a creature has benefited from this healing, they can't do so again for the next hour.

Any hostile creature that starts its turn in the aura must succeed a DC 25 Charisma saving throw or lose its will to fight for one minute. While under this effect, a creature must use its turn avoid danger to itself and any other, but cannot cause harm. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of its turn, ending the effect on a success. A creature can make this saving throw only once per turn.

Magical Resistance. Aurelia has Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Legendary Resistance. 5/Day. If Aurelia fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.

Actions

Divine Spellcasting. The Avatar of Aurelia is a 20th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 25, +17 to hit with spell attacks). The Avatar of Aurelia has following spells prepared, requiring no spell components:
At Will: Guidance, Light, Minor Illusion, Spare the Dying, Spellfire Flare (6th level version), Suggestion (no Concentration).
3/Day Each: Greater Restoration, Heal, Mass Healing Word, Mass Suggestion, Revivify, Sanctuary, Sending.
2/Day Each: Banishment, Mass Cure Wounds, Teleport.
1/Day Each: Heroes' Feast, Mass Heal, True Resurrection.

Divine Conjure Celestial. 1/Short Rest. Aurelia casts a vastly empowered manifestation of Conjure Celestial. When she does, the spell is modified in the following ways:

  • The cylinder has a 20-foot radius and 60-foot height instead of 10 by 40.
  • The spell lasts for up to 1 hour instead of 10 minutes.
  • The spell does not require Concentration.
  • Aurelia can move the cylinder up to 60 feet on each of her turns instead of 30.
  • The Healing Light effect causes a target to regain 8d12 + 10 Hit Points instead of 4d12.
  • The Searing Light effect causes a target to take 12d12 Radiant damage on a failed save, half as much on a success, instead of 6d12.
Bonus Actions

Spellfire Radiance 1/Short Rest. Aurelia surrounds herself with concentrated spellfire for 1 minute. While active:

  • Aurelia's spell attacks deal an additional 3d8 radiant damage.
  • When she deals damage with a spell, she can change that spell's damage to radiant.
  • Once on each of her turns when she deals damage with a spell, she can release a burst of spellfire against one creature she can see within 120 feet, dealing 10d8 radiant damage.
  • A creature reduced to 0 hit points by this additional radiant damage is knocked unconscious and stable rather than killed.
  • Hostile creatures within 30 feet of Aurelia have their speed reduced by 20 feet.

Reactions

No One Stands Alone. When a creature within 30 feet of Aurelia is targeted by an attack, Aurelia can use her reaction to cause another willing creature within 30 feet of the target to become the target instead.

Legendary Actions

Aurelia can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Aurelia regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.

Radiant Plaything. Aurelia commands one of her drifting light motes to strike a hostile creature within 120 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw or take 18 (4d8) radiant damage and become outlined in glowing light. The next attack roll made against the outlined target has advantage.

Comforting Step. Aurelia moves up to her fly speed without provoking opportunity attacks. If she ends this movement within 5 feet of an allied creature, she extends a brief moment of solace. That creature gains 20 temporary hit points and can immediately stand up if it is prone.

Unconditional Grace (Costs 2 Actions). Aurelia focuses her absolute empathy on one allied creature she can see within 60 feet. The target is instantly freed from the charmed, frightened, paralyzed, incapacitated, or stunned conditions. The affected ally can then immediately use its reaction to move up to its speed or make one weapon attack.

Repudiation of Malice (Costs 3 Actions). Aurelia drops all playful demeanor and releases a shockwave of overwhelming divine authority. Each hostile creature within 30 feet of her must make a DC 25 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 36 (8d8) radiant damage, is pushed 20 feet away from her, and is knocked prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and remains in place. Any magical darkness or hazardous necrotic effects within this area are instantly dispelled.

Description

The manifestation of Aurelia upon the mortal plane acts as the living, breathing embodiment of her divine consciousness. She enters the material world to interact directly with her followers and those in desperate need of solace. Mortals who encounter this avatar are immediately struck by a profound sense of scale. She towers over the tallest humanoids, projecting the immense weight of her celestial presence. Despite this dominating stature, her form perfectly retains the innocent proportions of the seven-year-old child she was at the moment of her ascension. This deliberate scaling reflects the boundless and overarching nature of true compassion.

Her presence routinely disrupts traditional expectations of godly behavior. The avatar engages with the world through a lens of unfiltered empathy and genuine curiosity. She frequently bypasses kings and high clerics to sit quietly on the dirt floor alongside a grieving commoner. She offers comforting embraces to the sorrowful and extends simple invitations to play to those paralyzed by fear. Her domain dictates that she remain fully grounded in the emotional realities of mortals. This direct involvement allows her to actively absorb the suffering of the realms and replace it with unconditional grace.

A sudden and profound shift occurs the moment vulnerability is exploited. The playful warmth vanishes instantly to reveal the terrifying weight of a celestial protector. The preservation of life and joy stands as an absolute mandate of her existence. When confronted by cruelty, the avatar radiates an unyielding authority that roots aggressors in place. She becomes an immovable bulwark standing between the helpless and the dark forces of the world. Her anger is a pure, overwhelming repudiation of malice designed to shatter the very concept of oppression.
