1st level (2 slots): entangle, speak with animals

Swamp Track. Boggard wardens are unhindered by natural difficult terrain in swamps or bogs. They are still affected by magical difficult terrain.

Actions

Multiattack. The boggard warden makes one trident attack, one handaxe attack, and one tongue attack.

Trident. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60, one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 +5) piercing damage or 9 (1d8+5) piercing damage when held with two hands, and the target must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking 7 2d6 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Handaxe. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 +5) slashing damage and the target must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking 7 2d6 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Blowgun. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 25/100 ft., one target. Hit: 6 piercing damage and the target must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking 7 2d6 poison damage and is poisoned for 1d4 rounds on a failed save, or half as much damage and is not poisoned on a successful one.

Tongue. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d4+5) bludgeoning damage and the target is grappled (escape DC 14) if it is a Medium or smaller creature. Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the boggard warden can’t use its tongue attack.

Description

BOGGARD WARDEN
Though most boggard wardens are powerful enough that they could rule their own enclaves, all boggard wardens in Hooktongue Slough remain loyal to the priest-king, Sepoko. Anyone who has attempted to escape from a boggard warden while stomping through the thick sludge of a marshy swamp knows that they can be relentless trackers even in the worst outdoor conditions.
