The target must make a dexterity saving throw, taking 7 (2d6) slashing damage and 11 (2d10) lightning damage and become restrained for 1 minute on failure, or half as much damage and not be restrained on a successful save. Any restrained targets take 5 (1d10) lightning damage each round, they can make a strength check on the end of their turn, they become unrestrained on a successful check. the blind eye can only have one target restrained at a time.

  • 6. Eye of Death. the blind eye targets a creature within 60ft., of it and sends a beam of deadly energy at it. the target must make a Dexterity saving throw. on a failure, the target take 14 (3d10) necrotic damage and is stunned.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target, Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) Bludgeoning damage, plus 7 (2d6) psychic damage.

Reactions

Spell Reflection. If the blind eye makes a successful saving throw against a spell, or a spell attack misses it, the blind eye can choose another creature (including the spellcaster) it can see within 30 feet of it. The spell targets the chosen creature instead of the blind eye. If the spell forced a saving throw, the chosen creature makes its own save. If the spell was an attack, the attack roll is rerolled against the chosen creature.

Description

When a beholder is slain, its final thoughts may become like that of its dreams. These dreams of death are often of a need to be avenged by its successors. This may cause the creation of one or several revenge fueled beings known as Blind Eyes. Eyeless yet ever watchful, they attack with brutal proficiency that only powerful foes of equal or greater stature can resist. With two large claw-like arms and a spiked tail it's armament is more than deadly.

Eternal Hunters. The Blind Eye has little to no quarrel with other beings, but will still kill anything that gets in its way. A town guard sent to investigate a sighting might accidentally provoke its rage and lead to the destruction of the town. However, it usually only has one target or a group of targets in it's incomprehensible mind. It desires to kill those who destroyed its Beholder predecessor and exact revenge against them. This has lead to those who know of these beings to nicknaming them Beholder Revenants.

Adventurer Killers. A Blind Eye knows exactly who or what it was that brought it into existence. it is said that the first sound it hears are the last moments of its former life as a true Beholder. it "spawns" from the remains of the Beholder, ranging from 4 hours to a whole week old in the process of Decay. it's first kills are more than likely going to be the former minions of the Beholder that have remained in its lair, getting too close to the Blind eye before being destroyed by its powers. it will then emerge out onto the open and begin the hunt for those that killed its predecessor. it will only stop when it either kills the creatures it has hunted, is killed in battle, or in some cases found by a being of great mental ability such as a powerful mystic, a mind flayer colony, or even another beholder. this only occur either through brutal enslavement by those able to capture it or by negotiating with it when it has nothing to avenge anymore.

Power Beyond Death. if a beholder knows that an imminent threat is at its doorstep then it will likely want to know how to neutralize them. so of the more knowledgeable of their kind know of the Blind Eyes, even of a secret ritual that is guaranteed to create one upon its destruction. the beholder must create a phylactery-like object to call upon the divine forces of rage and vengeance, tricking them into giving the beholder power after death. If the beholder were to reconstitute as a death tyrant, it could allow it to deal more damage to it's killers than a natural Blind Eye would. Two forms of one Alien mind, simply to destroy those that wronged them of their glory.
