Acid Spit. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (3d6) acid damage. The target must then make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw, taking an additional 7 (2d6) acid damage on a failed save, or no additional damage on a successful save.
Defensive Curl. When the Blackpine Caustipede is hit by an attack it can see, it can use its reaction to curl its segmented body inward, exposing its heavily armored dorsal plates.
