Flyby. The adult pterajewel doesn’t provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of an enemy’s reach.
Refractive Body. The body of a adult pterajewel is covered is crystals and gems which absorb light. When the young pterajewel is hit by an attack that deals radiant damage, it takes no damage and it's Refraction Flash or Refraction Beam is automatically recharged.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (2d4 + 1) piercing damage.
Refraction Flash (Recharge 6). The adult pterajewel concentrates the light of the sun into it's wings and flashes concentrated light in a 40 ft. radius sphere around it. Each creature within the sphere that can see the adult pterajewel must succeed on a CON save (DC 15) or be blinded for 1 minute. This attack fails if it is used indoors, at night or in any otherwise darker environement.
Refraction Beam (Recharge 5). The adult pterajewel concentrates sunlight into the crystals in it's head before firing a 5 ft by 30 ft. long beam of radiant energy. Each creature in the path of the beam must make a DEX save (DC 15), on a failure, the creature takes 25 (8d6+1) radiant damage or half as much on a sucessful one.
Description
An adult member of the pterajewel specie, it's crystals are fully grown and it can concentrate sunlight into a mighty beam of light that it shoots out of it's mouth to ward off predators while they blind their preys for easy hunting.
