Keen Smell. The bearger has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Siege Monster. The bearger deals double damage to objects and structures.

Actions

Multiattack. The bearger makes three atacks: Two with its claws and one with its bite. It can replace one of these attacks with its Ground Pound.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit:  20 (2d12+7) slashing damage.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft, 1 target. Hit: 13 (1d12+7) piercing damage.

Ground Pound. The bearger slams on the ground. Each creature within 15 feet of it must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, or take 27(3d12+7) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone.

Yawn (winter only.) The bearger yawns. Any creature that can hear it within 30 feet of it must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or be put to sleep for 1 minute or until the creature takes damage. A creature that is incapable of sleep isn't effected by this.

Reactions

Rageful Pursuit. If an enemy that the bearger sees moves more than 30 feet away from it, the bearger can use its reaction to dash in its direction.

Description

A bearger is a huge cross between a bear and a badger. It is built mostly like a bear, but it is colored like a badger. They typically stand on two feet.

Beargers live in forests and grasslands, but typically enter towns in search for food. Beargers roam the land in search of food, with a particular liking to honey. If a bearger eats 10 pounds of honey, it will be satiated, and fall asleep. If the bearger finds any food in a container, it will break the container to eat the food. If you steal food from it once, it will roar at you, but nothing else. Steal from it twice, it roars again, but still remains neutral. Steal a third time, and it will attack.

Beargers hibernate during winter. If awoken, the bearger will attack.
