Traits

Cannibalistic Bite. When the wendigo hits a humanoid with a bite attack, it deals an extra 10 (3d6) necrotic damage.

Fey Spirit of Cannibalism and Greed. When the wendigo dies, its spirit(Unaligned, small fey with AC 10, 5 HP) is released, with a shriek, into the Ethereal plane. It wanders the Border Ethereal until it finds another humanoid pushed to cannibalism or avarice. The spirit possesses its victim and transforms it into another wendigo. Nothing short of a Wish spell can prevent or undo this possession.

Mimicry. The wendigo can mimic any sounds it has heard, including voices. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations with a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Insight) check.

Regeneration. The wendigo regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the wendigo takes acid or fire damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the wendigo's next turn. The wendigo dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate.

Actions

Multiattack. The wendigo can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d12 + 4) piercing damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage.

Frightful Presence.  Each creature that is within 60 feet of the wendigo and aware of it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the wendigo's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
