Pallesthesia. The ursine has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on vibration.
Magnetic Armor. Thunder and force damage disrupt the magnetic attraction that holds the black sand shielding the ursine, reducing its AC by 1d6 until the beginning of its next turn. The ursine has immunity to Black Sand Nova.
Multiattack. The ursine makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Black Sand Nova. The ursine explosively ejects the black sand armor from its body. All other creatures within 10 ft. must make a DC 15 Dexterity save or take 11 (2d6 + 3) piercing damage. On a successful save, creatures take half damage. The ursine loses 1d6 AC until the black sand armor is reformed at the beginning of its next turn.
Description
These leathery ursine creatures burrow and build up a magnetic force within their skin that attracts the iron particles within the sand and fine rocks of their habitats and provide them with a potent, blackened sand armor that they use to great effect when ambushing trespassers who wander too close to their dens.
