Traits

Magic Resistance. The Bloodoak has advantage in Saving Throws against Spells and other magical effects.

Reflective Carapace. (optional). Any time the Bloodoak is targeted by a Magic Missile spell, a line spell, or a spell that requires a ranged Attack roll, roll a d6. On a 1 to 5, the Bloodoak gains resistance to it. On a 6, the Bloodoak is unaffected, and the effect is reflected back at the caster as though it originated from the Bloodoak, turning the caster into the target.

Wailing Death. When the Bloodoak dies, it wails, shrieks and screeams forcing each creature in a 120ft. radius to make a Wisdom Saving Throw (DC 18). If the save
fails, the creatures are frightened for 1 min. If the save succeeds, the creatures are inmune to any fear effect for the next 24 hours.

Actions

Multiattack. The Bloodoak makes three attacks with its Vines, each of wich it can replace with one use of Fling.

Vine. Mele Weapon Attack; +18 to hit, reach 30ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d6+10) bludgeoning damage and the target is Grappled (escape DC 18). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained. The Bloodoak has ten vines, each of which can grapple one target.

Fling. One Large or smaller object held or creature grappled by the Bloodoak is thrown up to 60 feet in a random direction and knocked prone. If a thrown target strikes a solid surface, the target takes 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet it was thrown. If the target is thrown at another creature, that creature must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or take the same damage and be knocked prone.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 23 (3d8+10) piercing damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature grappled by the Bloodoak, that creature is swallowed, and the grapple ends. While swallowed, the creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the Bloodoak, and it takes 42 (12d6) acid damage at the start of each of the Bloodoak's turns. If the Bloodoak takes 50 damage or more on a single turn from a creature inside it, the Bloodoak must succeed on a DC 25 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate all swallowed creatures, which fall prone in a space within 10 feet of the Bloodoak. If the Bloodoak dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 15 feet of movement, exiting prone.

Spore Spit. The Bloodoak creates three spits of poison, each of which can strike a target within 120 feet of the Bloodoak. A target must make a DC 23 Constitution
saving throw, taking 22 (4d10) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Legendary Actions

The Bloodoak can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another
creature's turn. The Bloodoak regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Vine Attack or Fling. The Bloodoak makes one tentacle attack or uses its Fling.

Spore Spit (cost two actions). The Bloodoak uses Spore Spit.

Spore Cloud (Cost three actions). The Bloodoak expels a spore cloud in a 60 foot radius. The cloud spreads around corners, and that area is heavily obscured to creatures other than the Bloodoak. Each creature other than the Bloodoak that ends its turn there must succeed on a DC 23 Constitution saving throw, taking 16 (3d10) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A strong wind disperses the cloud, which otherwise disappears at the end of the Bloodoak's next turn.

Description

"The bloodoak is no ordinary tree. It grows far from the well-trodden path. You don't chop down a bloodoak, you hunt it, with all the skill and cunning that you can muster. It can take years to tread a path to the glade of a bloodoak, and great courage to bring one down. Its wood--stripped and properly carpentered--is the finest in all the world for strength and buoyancy, but at a cost..." -Chopley Polestick

Bloodoaks are huge, flesh-eating trees , feared by most inhabitants and travelers of the land. Bloodoaks are typically not tall, but can grow extremely wide. At the very top of the trunk there is an enormous mouth, ringed with enormous, sharp "teeth". A Bloodoak is always surrounded by the bones and remains of its preys and emanates the putrid smell of decay.
