Traits

Shapechanger. The werechicken can use its action to polymorph into a chicken-humanoid hybrid or into a humanoid, or back into its true form, which is a chicken. Its statistics, other than its speed, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

Flight of Feathers (Chicken Form Only). The werechicken can fly through other creature's spaces and it doesn't provoke opportunity attacks while doing so. Spellcasters who are maintaining Concentration while the werechicken flies through their space must make a Concentration check at disadvantage.

Monstrous. Gods would never have allowed a world with werechickens, so their existence is proof that God is dead. The werechicken has advantage on all saving throws against spells.

Actions

Multiattack (Hybrid or Chicken Form Only). The werechicken makes two attacks, one with its beak and one with its claws.

Beak (Hybrid or Chicken Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8+2) piercing damage. If the target is a humanoid or a chicken, it must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be cursed to become a werechicken.

Claws (Hybrid or Chicken Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6+2) piercing damage.

Summon Friends (1/day, Hybrid or Chicken Form Only). The werechicken summons 1d4+1 swarms of chickens. The summoned chickens arrive in 1d4 rounds, acting as allies of the werechicken and obeying its spoken commands. The chickens remain for 1 hour, until the werechicken dies, or until it dismisses them as a bonus action.

Reactions

Call Chicken. As a reaction when the werechicken succeeds on a saving throw, or an enemy it can see within 30 feet misses it with an attack, the werechicken can call that loser a chicken. The target must make two DC 14 saving throws: one Constitution and one Wisdom.

If the target fails its Constitution save, it becomes a chicken. The target's game statistics other than mental ability scores, hit points, alignment and personality are replaced by those of the new form. This transformation ends if the target takes damage.

If the target fails its Wisdom save, it cannot willingly move away from the werechicken, and must target the werechicken with an attack on each of its turns if able.

Both effects last for 1 minute, or until the werechicken calls another creature a chicken.
