Chicken Form. The first of a regular chicken either red, black and white, or pure white. (Plymouth, Leghorn or Rhode Island Red) It is regular sized and often comes accompanied with armor.

Large Chicken. The chicken when reintroduced to their lair or fed one of their eggs will enlarge into a Huge creature (Attacks double to hit, and damage). STR become 24.

Demon. When killed, the War Chicken sheds its skill and materializes into its natural body of a Demon. (Type of Demon Varies)

Lair and Lair Actions

War Chickens lair in down in the earth, the under dark and plane of the damned, dwelling in caverns, or within the deep burrows of abandoned mines and dwarven strongholds.

With its eggs well protected deep within the lair, a chicken spends as much of its time patrolling its nest as well as roosting in it. For a war chicken, its young are a means to help it conquer the world.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 10 (losing initiative ties), the War Chicken takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the War Chicken can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:

  • Toxic air. Every foreign creature must roll a constitution saving throw DC 14 or be knocked unconscious.
  • Stifling Heat. Roll a constitution saving throw DC 10 or take a level of exhaustion.
  • Sludgy Footing. Roll a Dex saving throw DC 15 or have disadvantage on all Melee  attacks.

Regional Effects

The region containing a legendary War Chicken’s lair is riddled with holes and tunnels, which creates one or more of the following effects:

  • If Combat lasts more than 8 rounds, the caves will collapse changing the landscape.
  • Cracks and fissures are also cracks to the abyss. Sometimes Demons may slip through these fissures.

If the War Chickens dies, these effects fade over the course of 3d20 days.
