Traits

Keen Senses. The weeping wolf has advantage on Wisdom (perception) checks that rely on sight, hearing, or smell.

Shadow Jump. While in dim light or darkness, the weeping wolf can use a bonus action to teleport to a location within 20 feet of it that it can see and is also in dim light or darkness.

Sunlight Weakness. While in bright light created by sunlight, the weeping wolf has disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws.

Curse of the Shadows. A humanoid slain by a melee attack from the weeping wolf has a chance to revive as; a shadow hands (20%), a shadow kin (30%), or a dread husk (50%) within the next 1d6 x 10 minutes.

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Gaze of the Damned (Recharge 5–6). The slit's along the wolf open up, revealing many large green eyes that weep in pain. Until the end of the Weeping Wolf's next turn, each creature that start's it's turn or moves within 30 feet of the weeping wolf and that can see it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of it for 1 minute. The frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Unless surprised, a creature can avert its eyes to avoid the saving throw. If the creature does so, it can't see the weeping wolf until the start of its next turn, when it can avert its eyes again. If the creature looks at the weeping wolf in the meantime, it must immediately make the save.

Description

A weeping wolf is a large beast with many slits of horrid green eyes on it's head and body. The eyes found along it's body constantly look around in pain and distress. When a weeping wolf kills a humanoid, it's said a new eye is formed from the poor devoured soul.
