Armor Density. Each time an attack damages the slaad, its AC increases by 1, up to a maximum of 21. This is reset to its base AC (16) after it successfully damages a creature. The slaad gains a bonus to its damage rolls equal to its current AC bonus.
Gem Crash. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 43 (6d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be pushed up to 10 feet away and knocked prone.
Description
Often employed as guard sentries for the one who created them, the amethyst are some of the largest of the slaad. They were given their name for their dense, gem like skin. Each time they are damaged, the dim light that emits from these crystalline gem spots on their body glow brighter and brighter until they unleash all of their energy in a deadly attack. The more punishment they take, the harder their skin gets, and the more dangerous they become. Slow, but ridiculously powerful. A single strike from this behemoth is enough to fell the hardiest fighter.
