Traits

Shapechanger. The slaad can use its action to polymorph into a Small or Medium humanoid, or back into its true form. Its statistics, other than its size, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

Innate Spellcasting. The slaad’s innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 19, +11 to hit with spell attacks). The slaad can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: detect magic, detect thoughts, invisibility (self only), mage hand, major image, chaos bolt, fireball]

2/day each: fear, fly, tonguescloudkill

1/day each: plane shift

Magic Resistance. The slaad has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Magic Weapons. The slaad’s weapon attacks are magical.

Regeneration. The slaad regains 15 hit points at the start of its turn if it has at least 1 hit point.

Actions

Multiattack. The slaad makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws or greatsword.

Bite (Slaad Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d8 + 8) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage.

Claws (Slaad Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (2d10 + 8) slashing damage plus 10 (3d6) necrotic damage.

Chaos Spittle (Recharge 5-6). The slaad can spit a glob of chaotic energy at a single target. The target must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or take 10d4 necrotic damage. In addition, the glob of chaos adheres to the target, dealing 5d4 necrotic damage are the beginning of each of their turns. The globule can only be removed by lesser restoration, remove curse, or similar magic. On a success save, the target takes half damage, and the globule does not adhere to them.

Summon Slaadi (1/day). Once per day, the white slaad can summon 1d4+2 red slaadi, 1d4+1 blue slaadi, or 1d3 green slaadi. A summoned slaad appears in an unoccupied space within 60 feet of the white slaad, acts as an ally of the white slaad, and can’t summon other slaadi. It remains for 1 minute, until the white slaad dies, or until its summoner dismisses it as an action.
