Incorporeal Jaunt. As a bonus action, the spider can become incorporeal or vice versa. While incorporeal, attacks against the Astral Spider spider have disadvantage as well as any attack the Astral Spider makes. When the Astral Spider takes damage due to a Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution saving throw, it becomes no damage on a success and half damage on a failure.
Spider Climb. The Astral Spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Web Walker. The Astral Spider ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.
Multiattack. The Astral Spider takes a single villain action, then can make two attacks, only one of which can be a bite attack.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 17 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw, taking 18 (4d8) psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the psychic damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target is stable but poisoned for 1 hour, even after regaining hit points, and is paralyzed while poisoned in this way.
Mind Fang. Ranged Spell Attack: +9 to hit, range 90 ft., one target. Hit: 27(6d8) psychic damage.
The Webs We Weave. When attacked by a creature in touching the Astral Spider's web, it may use its reaction to send a psychic pulse through its web. The creature makes a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or takes 18(4d8) psychic damage.
Villain Actions
Go My Children! The Astral Spider releases 2d6 Astral Hatchlings.
Imprisoning Webs. 30 foot cone in front of the spider becomes covered in webs. Creatures within the cone must make a DC 18 Dexterity save or be restrained for one minute. Surfaces within the cone's area become difficult terrain. Affected creatures may make an additional saving throw at the end of their turn.
Psychic Jumping Spider. The Astral Spider can jump 45 feet in any direction.
Description
Gliding through the Astral Sea by its web upon the psychic winds, the Astral Spider spreads its brood through various temporary lairs within the Astral expanse. Once its young hatch, the Astral Spider rarely stays long before seeking its next refuge.
