Turning Defiance. The ghast and any ghouls within 30 feet of it have advantage on saving throws against effects that turn undead.

Actions

Multiattack. The ghast can take either three of any combination of bite and claw attacks, or one bite, one claw, and one tongue attack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 24 (4d8 + 5) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d6 + 5) slashing damage. If the target is a creature other than an undead, it must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Tongue Lash. Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5/15 ft, one target. Hit: 16 (4d4+5) acid damage. If the target is a creature other than an undead, it must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or be grappled.  If the target is still grappled at the beginning of its turn, then it will take 10 (2d4+5) acid damage. Description

Ghast are Ghouls that have been infused with more dark energies by Orcus or another necromancer, but that is not the top of the Ghoul hierarchy.

Blue-Fanged Power. Stronger, faster, and smarter than any normal Ghast, Blue-Fanged Ghast are the ultimate undead commanders. They can control up to 15 Ghouls, and even a few Ghast, to complete their tasks. Untimely, although, they are still only servants.
