Traits

False Appearance. While the muscle vine remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary pile of rocks and plants..

Sunlight Absorption: Whenever the muscle vine is subjected to radiant damage, it takes no damage and regains a number of Hit Points equal to the radiant damage dealt.

Grasping vines. The muscle vine can have up to four vinesat a time. Each tendril can be attacked (AC 12; 25 hit points; immunity to poison and psychic damage, vulnerability to necrotic and slashing damage). Destroying a vine deals no damage to the muscle vine, which can extrude a replacement tendril on its next turn.

Planting youngling. When the adult muscle vine is reduced to 0 hit points it can no longer retain its form but doesn't fully die but instead it reverts to a Young Muscle Vine with full hit points. If the Adult Muscle vine takes fire or necrotic damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the muscle vines next turn.

Actions

Multiattack. The Muscle Vine makes two slam attacks or two grasping vine attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Grasping vine. One creature within 10ft of the muscle vine must succeed in a DC 17 Strength or dexterity saving throw or be grappled . Until this grapple ends the creature is restrained. The Muscle vine can grapple one creature per Grasping Vine it has. At the start of a grappled creatures turn it takes 1d10+7 bludgeoning damage. A grappled creature can use its action to make a DC17 strength save to escape the grapple.

RockRanged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 60/240 ft., one target. Hit: (4d10 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Description

Muscle Vines are strong and can live for a really long time. They use their strength to trap and kill creatures that than act as vurtilizer for the vine. They cling to rocks and other hard materials which they use as protection and mobility. By moving the rocks independently from each other they simulate the movement of other creatures, giving them their name. Adult Muscle vines have gathered a great amount of rocks and know how to move them efficiently. They can resemble large creatures like bears or even giants in their shape. When enough of the plant itself is damaged it can no longer keep all of its collected materials together and it reverts back to a younger form.
