Description

Quelks are unseelie fey that inhabit putrid swamps, wetlands and mangroves. They resemble humanoid toads, with skeletal torsos, wings and a single horn on their foreheads. Often employed as court jesters by the archfey of the Gloaming Court, they have an insatiable sense of humour. This typically involves causing excessive amounts of pain and embarrassment to unsuspecting victims, and they will often beat travellers to death with wooden mallets whilst laughing hysterically. Some quelks carry lanterns to lure victims in with the promise of safety, before sneaking up behind them for an agonising blow.
