Traits
Sturdy. The ankylosaurus has advantage on Strength and Constitution saving throws made against effects that would knock it prone.
Actions
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (4d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Description
This plant eating dinosaur is among the most well-armored beasts, with its back covered in thick bony plates that protect it from predators. But if that wasn't enough, its tail boasts a bone club at the end, which can easily break a leg or two if swung with enough momentum.

Posted Nov 8, 2020I like it. I like it when people improve monsters for D&D. Like this dinosaur.

Posted Nov 9, 2020Thank you very much! I decided to improve on this creature because the official one's AC and HP, as well as other things, are just too low for it to feel right. Makes me realize how underrated the tankiest creature to have ever walked on Earth really is.

Posted Nov 10, 2020True. I improved T-Rex and Plesiosaurus. I added Frightful Presence to T-Rex and Darkvision to Plesiosaurus. There is a Trait called Thick Hide which adds a +1 to the monster's AC.

Posted Nov 13, 2020Sounds pretty good to me. I think I'm happy with the AC I've given the Anky though. 18 is a high number considering the max AC allowed for monsters
