False Appearance. While the blood lily remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary water lily.
Multiattack. The blood lily makes two constrict attacks. It can replace one of these attacks with sap vitality if available.
Constrict. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage, and a Large or smaller target is grappled (escape DC 12).
Sap Vitality. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., a creature that is grappled by the blood lily, incapacitated, or restrained. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) piercing damage, plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage. The target's hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage, and the vampire lily regains hit points equal to half that amount. The reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0. A humanoid slain in this way and then buried in a fen rises in 7 days as a blood lily seeder.
