The soul half is sent to a demiplane resembling a previous space or event the creature has encountered, stuck until it is able to find the exit. The creature is aware of its surroundings where its physical half and soul half reside, which is still able to take damage. The soul half of the creature is unable to communicate or interact with any other plane until it can find the demiplane's exit. Every turn, including turns that are not theirs, roll an Intelligence check of DC 19. On a failed roll, the creature's soul stays in the demiplane for that turn and takes 2d6 Psychic damage. On a successful roll, the creature's soul returns to its physical half. There is a 20% chance that this Legendary Action fails.
Description
Anna Chiles is a goddess with ultimate control over the course of history and language. Anna takes the form of an unassuming medium build woman in her late-twenties with long, brown hair. Anna has full control over all Planes of Existence, and her origins are unknown. Unlike her colleague Scott "Scotty" Stambach, Anna is a benevolent being, choosing to use her powers negatively only when necessary.
Lair and Lair Actions
As an all powerful being, Anna's lair is all Planes of Existence. She has control over all of history and language.
Lair Actions
On initiative count 10 (losing initiative ties), Anna takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Anna can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Secret Story of Stuff. Anna instantaneously travels back in time and takes one item from each creature, whether it be a weapon, piece of armor, etc. Anna holds each item in an unknown pocket dimension for later study. Each item is returned at the end of this Lair Action.
- Language Barrier. Anna creates new languages for each creature to speak fluently with full comprehension. Each language is indecipherable except through magical means, leaving each creature unable to communicate with each other except through visual means. Each creature can then speak in their normal languages at the end of this Lair Action.
- Snacks. Simple foodstuffs of various kinds equal to the number of creatures in Anna's lair appear from the ether. If consumed, the creature must roll a DC 18 Constitution check. On a successful roll, the creature regains 3d10 HP. On a failed roll, the creature takes 1d4 Poison damage. The snacks remain until destroyed or consumed.
- Cleanup. All snacks are destroyed.
Regional Effects
The region containing Anna's lair is affected by her presence, which creates one or more of the following effects:
- Time warps appear within 2 miles of Anna but stop 1 mile away from her. Time warps are pockets of space where one can briefly glimpse into other timelines if encountered. If encountered, time warps immediately collapse and are destroyed, remaining open long enough only for a cursory glance. How these manifest and the effects they have on players who interact with them is ultimately up to the DM.
- Random objects and creatures from different planes and times pop in and out of existence in the same area as the time warps manifest. These objects and creatures cannot be collected by any means and will instantaneously disappear if interacted with outside of visual observation. How these manifest is ultimately up to the DM.
If Anna dies, these effects fade over the course of 1d4 days.
