The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
The lich can take 5 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The lich regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Minor Arcana: Arya casts a spell of 6th level or lower, without spending a spell slot.
Exhausting Affliction (Costs 2 Actions). All creatures hostile to Arya, within her sight, must succeed on a DC 24 Constitution saving throw or gain a level of exhaustion. If the creature fails by 5 or more, they gain two levels of exhaustion, if they fail by 10 or more they gain three levels of exhaustion and so on.
Paralyzing Gaze (Costs 2 Actions). Arya fixes its gaze on one creature it can see within 10 feet of it. The target must succeed on a DC 24 Wisdom saving throw against this magic or become paralyzed for 1 minute. The paralyzed target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a target's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the target is immune to the Arya's gaze for the next 24 hours.
Arcane Destruction(Costs 3 Actions). Arya creates a magical explosion centered around herself. All creatures, who isn't under total cover, must roll a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw or take 20d6 force damage and is both knocked prone, and is permanently blinded if they could see Arya.
Lair and Lair Actions
The Nexus Vault (Arya's Lair):
Inside the lonley mountain, which Iabolus is built around, is a door which can only be opened by a special key. Behind the door is a cave complex, centered around where the Nexus will be spawned.
The floor is seeping with magmalike arcane energy. At initiative count 10 this arcane material bursts from the floor and every creature, within 60 foot of the Nexus, must roll a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw or take 2d12 fire damage and roll a d8 and lose a spell slot of that level.
If a creature touches the Nexus, it takes 8d20 radiant damage and if it is fully down in the Nexus, it dies instantly. If the creature has immunity to radiant damage, the target only takes 12d20 radiant damage, which ignores all resistances, immunities or anything that will reduce the damage.
Arya encountered in its lair has a challenge rating of 30 (155,000 XP).
Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Arya can take a lair action to cause one of the following magical effects; Arya can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Arya rolls a d10 (10 counts as a 9) and regains a spell slot of that level or lower. If she has no spent spell slots of that level or lower, nothing happens.
- Arya inscribes a [spell]symbol[/symbol] on a solid surface within 5 feet of her. This symbol does not affect Arya herself.
- Arya animates one of the six statues, as a huge stone golem. This can of course only be used six times.
- Arya regains a legendary resistance.
