Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Magic Resistance. The pyroclastic dragon has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Innate Spellcasting. The adult pyroclastic dragon's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (DC 18, +10 on spell attacks). The adult pyroclastic dragon can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

1/day each: fire storm, incendiary cloud, meteor swarm, power word stun, pyrotechnics, shatter, message, wall of fire, wall of stone
Multi attack. The adult dragon can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
Breath Weapons (Recharges 5/6). The pyroclastic dragon uses one of the following breath weapons.
Volcanic breath. The pyroclastic dragon exhales a 60ft cone of super heated ash followed by a wave of crushing sound. Each creature within the radius must make a DC 23 Constitution saving throw or take 31 (9d6) fire damage and 31 (9d6) thunder damage. On a successful saving throw a creature takes half damage.
Disintegration breath. The pyroclastic dragon exhales a line intense plasma in a 90ft long, 5ft wide line. Each creature within the line must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be disintegrated and turned into a clump of ash.
The adult pyroclastic dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The adult pyroclastic dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Detect. The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Tail Attack. The dragon makes a tail attack.
Molten scales (Costs 2 Actions). The pyroclastic dragon's scales glow with orange light as they heat up with magma, each creature that makes a melee weapon attack against the dragon with a metallic weapon has an effect identical to the spell heat metal occur on that weapon for 2 rounds. These molten scales only last till the start of the pyroclastic dragon's next turn.
Description
A pyroclastic dragon's body was shaped like a red dragon's, heavily muscled and solidly built. Its scales looked like broken obsidian and hot magma. These scales created mottled patterns of red, orange, black, and gray over its entire body.
All in all, a pyroclastic dragon's body gave off a sense of immovability. Compared its body, its wings, which were seemingly made of ash, were rather weak-looking but fully operational.
A pyroclastic dragon was an avid swimmer. What was special about this was that it liked to swim through magma instead of water. They were creatures whose temperament was compared to a volcano. Overstressing it caused a truly violent reaction. They loved to eat meat but a diet of minerals sufficed.
