Bound Fire Elemental. When a Warforged Dragon dies, the Kyber Shard binding a Fire Elemental in its core explodes. All creatures within 30ft of the Warforged Dragon must succeed at DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Multiattack. The dragon makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) fire damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage.
Fire Breath (Recharge 5–6). The Warforged Dragon exhales fire in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 56 (16d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Concentrated Fire. Ranged Weapon Attack. +10 to hit, one target, 60ft range. Hit: 56 (16d6) fire damage. The Warforged Dragon concentrates its fire breath into a highly-concentrated beam powerful enough to melt metal and blast holes in fortifications.
Description
In the middle stages of the Last War, House Cannith developed several prototype Warforged Dragons to be used on the battlefields of Khorvaire, but were unable to find a way to make their temperamental fire elementals safe for use – or their even more unpredictable dragon temperaments controllable. What few specimens escaped the labs of House Cannith now roam the distant, barren reaches of Khorvaire (or have found a new master worthy of their loyalties).
