Amphibious. The Hermit can breathe air and water.
Withdrawn. Creature will not actively engage in combat and will only counter attack any creature which approaches it without a stealth check higher than this creature's passive perception.
Actions
Sudden Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d12 + 4) bludgeoning damage. Should the crab make contact, it throws the assailant back 20ft. The crab has two claws, each of which can grapple only one target.
Description
A Mammoth crustacean with a hard, time-worn shell. It's very fond of treasures.
That's a remarkably high AC on a CR 1/8 creature, likewise to-hit bonus. While I appreciate that the Withdrawn trait seems intended to make this creature more trap than combatant, I'm concerned at the potential consequences of a Druid finding one of these and wildshaping into it. Changing the creature type will ameliorate my complaints somewhat.
24 AC? Really? That is ludicrous for a 1/8 cr monster. This could only be made worse if it had more than a +4 to hit...
"Abyssal Hermit"
"It's very fond of treasures."
I suppose he'd rather be S H I N Y
Also, oof, that AC. I get the intent, but maybe lower it to 20 or 18?
