Sticky. This creature secretes an extremely sticky mucus that adheres it to surfaces.
Amorphous. This creature can move through spaces a little as one inch wide without impeding movement.
Jump and Stick. This creature jumps 10 feet in any direction and adheres itself to the surface it lands on.
Suffocate. This creature attempts to adhere itself to the face of a creature. That creature must succeed in a DC12 strength check to pull the slime off of it before the mucus solidifies. If failed, this check can be made each turn afterwards at disadvantage. Creatures that are being suffocated by this creature are blinded. If a creature is being suffocated by the Algae Gum, they must succeed on a DC12 Con save or take 1d4 suffocation damage. Furthermore, if the Algae Gum is attacked while suffocating a creature, the creature also takes half damage from the attack.
Jump and Stick. This creature can use its Jump and Stick action as a reaction.
Description
This creature gets its name from the dark green coloring it gets from the algae that grows in its body. They ooze an extremely sticky mucus that they use to adhere to walls and ceilings. They also use this as a means to attack prey. They adhere to the face of their prey and suffocate it until it dies, then it enters the body through the nostrils, mouth, eyes, and ears to get at the soft organ flesh inside of the corpse. After this, they become a dark red color until the body finishes processing its fleshy meal.
