Description
A heaping hoard of glimmering golden pieces, your reward for defeating monstrous beings untold, you approach to eagerly start dividing up the riches to your party members. As you lay your fingers on the first piece of plunder the whole pile shudders and cascades, jingling, rattling, flying through the air obscuring your friends from view. the coins spiral around you, slamming into your armour. The treasure freezes mid air, then slams down onto you, forcing you to the floor, you feel the metallic taste as coins force their way down your throat, your hand forces it's way out of the pile, grasping at nothing, but it's too late.
For the Hoard. These predatory Elementals lie in wait for would be treasure hunters, often forming symbiotic relationships with chromatic dragons and other hoard gathering beasts acting as the perfect guard to a monstrous being's treasure.
Hunters Become The Prey. Not all Coin Elementals play so well in a team however, there are plenty wandering the Underdark and ancient buried Dwarven cities, mindlessly searching for their own hoard, collecting the various treasures of anything unfortunate enough to cross their path.
Corrupted Summons. A Golden Coin Elemental, is the result of a desecrated, cruel summoning of an earth and air elemental, and the binding of them together to a single body, the duality of the twisted creature drives it increasingly insane and cruel.
