Immutable Form. Animus, the Onyx Golem is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.

Magic Resistance. Animus, the Onyx Golem has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. Animus, the Onyx Golem makes two slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (3d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage.

Slow (Recharge 5–6). Animus, the Onyx Golem targets one or more creatures it can see within 10 feet of it. Each target must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw against this magic. On a failed save, a target can't use reactions, its speed is halved, and it can't make more than one attack on its turn. In addition, the target can take either an action or a bonus action on its turn, not both. These effects last for 1 minute. A target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Description

Animus, the Onyx Golem is a magical construct cut and chiseled from dark black stone. Like other golems, Animus, the Onyx Golem is nearly impervious to spells and ordinary weapons.

Blind Obedience. Animus, the Onyx Golem only responds to commands issued by the attuned wielder of the Grasp of the Animus. When its possessor is on hand to command it, Animus, the Onyx Golem performs flawlessly. If Animus, the Onyx Golem is left without instructions or is incapacitated, it continues to follow its last orders to the best of its ability. When it can’t fulfill its orders, Animus, the Onyx Golem might react violently — or stand and do nothing. If Animus, the Onyx Golem has been given conflicting orders sometimes he will alternate between them.

Animus, the Onyx Golem can’t think or act for itself. Though it understands its commands perfectly, it has no grasp of language beyond that understanding, and can’t be reasoned with or tricked with words.

Constructed Nature. Animus, the Onyx Golem doesn’t require air, food, drink, or sleep.
