Shift and Fold:  The Origami insect is able to stretch and fold itself into many configurations- from 2d to 3d, adhering to surfaces like skin, stone, or wood with ease.  These changes are cosmetic and allow the insect to mimic natural shapes as well as patterns.  ((A tiny origami dagger would not have a daggers stats, a small origami lockpick would not work as a lockpick ))

Natural Camouflage- When perfectly still, or adhering to a target an Origami is able to shift it's pigment into various hues and transparencies, it gets +10 to stealth checks while not moving.

Description

The ‘Origami’ Family of Insects, native to Xen’drik.

There are in Xen’drik a family of insects valued for their use as adornment and self care called ‘Origami’- they come in several types- mirroring other insects of other families.  You might see an origami butterfly, or beetle, or walking stick.  They are not true insects, sharing only the appearance and certain habits and habitats of the insect they mirror.

As pets, they are used for the peculiar nature to form natural appearing tattoos and jewelry for their discerning owners.  Such tattoos can range from complex couplings of multiple Origami or a single simple pattern formed by one.

The origami’s innate ability to change its appearance and shape while stationary allows for it to take on many simple, and a few complex patterns.  It may flatten itself out to form a two dimensional pattern, or extend parts to create a three dimensional effect.  A single insect might rest upon the owner's head and create a complex diadem, it might also cling to the ear and form a sublime earring.

The Origami’s uses are not limited to fashion alone- the Origami and Owner form a symbiotic relationship, the origami receiving sustenance from their owner and the owner receiving a boon in kind- each boon being unique to the type of Origami one is tied to.
