Traits

Winged. As long as the creature does not don heavy armor the creature can unfurl its bat-like wings and have a flying speed of 30 feet.

Fighting Style: Dueling. When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other weapons, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon.

Second Wind. You have a limited well of stamina that you can draw on to protect yourself from harm. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d10 + 3. Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.

Action Surge. You can push yourself beyond your normal limits for a moment. On your turn, you can take one additional action.

Superiority Dice. You have four superiority dice, which are d8s. A superiority die is expended when you use it. You regain all of your expended superiority dice when you finish a short or long rest. (Saving Throw: DC 11 STR or DC 13 DEX):

Commander’s Strike. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can forgo one of your attacks and use a bonus action to direct an ally that can see and hear you to strike using its reaction, adding the superiority die to the damage roll.

Arcane Recovery. Once per day when you finish a short rest, you can choose expended spell slots to recover - up to a combined level of 3, and none of the slots can be 6th level or higher.

Bladesong. Twice per short rest, you can use a bonus action to start a Bladesong, which lasts for 1 minute and grants you the following benefits:
You gain a +2 bonus to your AC, your walking speed increases by 10 ft., you have advantage on Acrobatics checks, and you gain a +2 bonus to any CON saving throw you make to maintain your concentration on a spell.
It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you don medium or heavy armor or a shield, or if you use two hands to make an attack with a weapon. You can also dismiss the Bladesong at any time you choose (no action required).

Spellcasting. The Arcane Knight's spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 12). It can innately cast the following spells:

Cantrip (At will): dancing lightsfire boltgreen-flame bladeshocking grasp

Dragon Slayer Rapier. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 11 (1d8 + 6) Piercing damage.

Reactions
Riposte. When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction and expend one superiority die to make a melee weapon attack against it (add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll on hit).
Parry. When another creature damages you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction and expend one superiority die to reduce the damage by the number you roll on your superiority die + 3.
Defensive Duelist. When you are wielding a finesse weapon with which you are proficient and another creature hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to add 4 to your AC for that attack.

Description

This creature is known for taking others in the night and indoctrinating these people into their order. They serve with the intent of keeping the order of the world balanced. If they see the world as shifting too much into one defining direction they will seek out those of the opposite value and serve them.

This order is not innately evil but most of this order has been seen siding more with evil and chaos as that was the time in their history where they flourished. This creature follows orders until death and will not let up under most circumstances.

This creature has stolen the knowledge of the elves and perverted the teachings into something it can use to serve its master, whoever that might be. The creature is a 3rd level Fighter - Battle Master/ 6th Level Wizard - Bladesinger.

This creature always carries some sort of Pack with them of gear that will aid them in the region (Dungeoneer's and/or Explorer's Pack(s))
