Pack Tactics. The squig has advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the squig's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.
Keen Smell. The squig has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Standing Leap. The squig's long jump is up to 25 feet and its high jump is up to 15 feet, with or without a running start.
Unpredictable. The squig's hopping movement is fast and unpredictable. Attacks of opportunity may not be taken against squigs as they move out of combat range.
OMNOMNOMNOMNOM. The squig makes three attacks: two with its bite and one with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 11 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Pounce. The squig may attempt to hop on top of any nearby creature by moving into its space. If the squig moves at least 25 feet to do so, the creature must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or take 5 (1d4+3) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. If the target is knocked prone in this fashion, the squig may make a single bite attack against it as a bonus action. If the creature passes the saving throw, they may push the squig back 5 feet in any direction. Huge and larger creatures automatically succeed the save.
Swallow. The squig makes one bite attack against a small or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target is swallowed, and the grapple ends. The swallowed target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the squig, and it takes 6 (3d4) acid damage at the start of each of the squig's turns. The squig can have only one target swallowed at a time. If the squig dies, the creature is no longer restrained and can escape by 5 feet of movement, exiting prone.
Description
The most common and identifiable type of Squig. Whenever someone says Squig, this is the one that pops in everyone's head. The Attack Squig, also known as the Cave Squig, looks like it's trying to compete with the Tyranids for sheer 'OMNOMNOMNOMNOM' ability, consisting of nothing more than a bouncing ball of claws and razor-sharp teeth. These Squigs, as their name implies, are often used as attack animals, weapons, or pets. They can be given to the Grots as a food source (if the Squig doesn't eat them first) or even war mounts if said Grot is feeling particularly brave that day.
