Brute. A melee weapon deals one extra die of its damage when the highwayman hits with it (included in the attack).
Multiattack. The highwayman makes three melee attacks or two ranged attacks.
Wrecked Spear. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft. and range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 2d6 + 5 piercing damage, or 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage if used with two hands to make a melee attack.
Shield Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Kindled Blood. When at half HP, the ashen highwayman can choose to regurgitate its ember-filled, oil-like blood at the attacker, dealing 3 necrotic damage to the ashen highwayman, and forcing the target to perform a dexterity saving throw against a DC of 15, or take 2D6 fire and 2D6 poison damage. On a successful save, they take half damage.
Description
Once a brutal bandit, the Ashen Highwayman is now a crude creature with skin of ash, and blood composed of flaming ichor after a divine disaster destroyed and reanimated it. it has no mind, and just wishes a brutal death upon any and all that are not ashen in nature, destroyed by fire and reanimated by that same fire.
