Keen Smell. The cat has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Thought Projection. The cat can telepathically project words directly into a creatures mind. However Only in Sylvan, Blink Cat or Broken Common in rare edge cases, of blink cats exposed to creatures speaking common regularly. This projection has a range of 15 ft and is one way (the recipient cannot telepathically reply but their thoughts can't be read).
Telepathic Communion. The cat can only perform the more advanced telepathic communion, on another blink cat. However both sides must agree to begin the communion and has to start within 15 ft of each over but afterward can be a mile apart before the connection is severed. However individuals can leave a communion freely but need persimmon and to be near a cat part of that communion to rejoin.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: (2d4+2) slashing damage.
Telepathic Fang (1 Action). Ranged Psionic Attack: +2 to hit, 15ft range., four targets. Hit: (1d4+2) psychic damage.
Teleport (Recharge 4-6). The cat magically teleports, along with anything of choice, up to 40 ft. to an unoccupied space it can see. Before or after teleportation, the cat can make one claws attack.
Description
They have bright purple eyes, shimmering fur and have superior litheness compared to normal cats.
Communion Expanded: A blink cat can only be in one communion at a time and a communion can only have 7 cats in it before the interference of conflicting personalities terminates it (it's negligible with only 2 cats but is intensified with each additional cat).
A blink cat can speak or thought project, while in a communion, but can only focus on one at a time. If focusing on a conversation with a dryad it can only hear the communion, as a faint ethereal murmur in the back of its mind, and vice versa as focusing on a communion renders outside sounds dull and faint.
When their eyes become silvery and misty, its signifies that their looking inward to a communion.
It allows communication with mere thoughts, concepts and memories, which is faster and more efficient than thought projection or speaking as it is not constrained by vocabulary. However the privacy of thoughts and memories from involuntary viewing is a complicated and awkward subject and their is many opinions on it.
Lastly those unaccustomed to it may end up leaving a communion involuntarily as they lose focus, become light headed, retch or have mild mental trauma at most after the experience. If a player turns into a blink cat there is good chance this will happen the first time this happens or they will never experience a communion as it's not an everyday occurrence, being reserved for private or long range communication.
