Pounce. If the ghoul moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a Claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the ghoul can make one Bite attack against it as a bonus action.
Death Throes. If reduced to 0 HP, the ghoul can use its reaction to make a Claw attack against the creature that killed it.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage, plus 3 (1d4+1) necrotic damage.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) slashing damage.
Description
The ghouls stalking the Deepwood crave to eat carrion, no matter how fresh it is. While they appear rapid, deepwood ghouls still retain their humanoid intelligence and are capable of using tactics and planning to attack their prey.
