Traits

Limited Magic Immunity. The rakshasa can't be affected or detected by spells of 6th level or lower unless it wishes to be. It has advantage on saving throws against all other spells and magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. The rakshasa makes one claw attack and one Life Drain.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) slashing damage, and the target is cursed if it is a creature. The magical curse takes effect whenever the target takes a short or long rest, filling the target's thoughts with horrible images and dreams.

Life Drain. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (4d6 + 2) necrotic damage. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or its hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken. This reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.

A humanoid slain by this attack rises 24 hours later as a  under the wight's control, unless the humanoid is restored to life or its body is destroyed. The wight can have no more than twelve under its control at one time.
